Rafael Bustamante Laue is a Gonzaga University School of Law graduate and began his legal career at Ciummo and Associates as a criminal defense attorney in Madera, California. He has represented numerous indigent clients facing infractions, DUIs, misdemeanors, and felonies. He is a former associate of Plourd and Breeze, and represented clients in criminal and civil litigation. He is a member of the Imperial County Bar Association and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California
